Black Friday cat bed deals

What kind of bed do cats like best?

Most cats like a bed that feels warm and lets them tuck themselves in, which is why soft donut beds and cosy covered beds are so popular. Beyond that, it really comes down to your cat's personality.

A cat that likes to hide away will often choose a cat house or a cave-style bed, while one that watches everything usually prefers a raised spot by the window. Cats that sleep curled in a tight ball tend to love a round bed with a soft rim to lean into.

Getting your cat to use their new bed

Cats can be suspicious of anything new, so don't worry if the bed gets ignored at first. Put it where your cat already likes to sleep, or somewhere warm and quiet, rather than in the middle of a busy room.

A blanket that already smells like home makes the bed feel familiar much faster. Give it a few days. The box it came in might win at first, but most cats come round in their own time.
